White terrorists just simply don’t make the news

July 3, 2007

On 28 September 2006 the Lancashire police, England raided the home of Robert Cottage (left) a former British National Party (BNP) candidate and discovered 21 types of chemicals used to make bombs, Anarchy Cookbook, ball bearings and air pistols. After interrogation a further man (right) was arrested for possession of an bow and arrow and a nuclear protection suit.Robert Cottage subsequently pleaded guilty to charges of illegal explosions possession in anticipation of a perceived incoming civil war and with intent to shoot the then Prime Minister Tony Blair.

So here we have it: a candidate of a crypto-fascist BNP stockpiles weapons and explosives with the intent to kill people and spark a civil war and the news gets hardly picked up by anyone, bar a short article on BBC.

You obviously don’t keep tabs on any other news sources then.

I’ve seen numerous reports on this case in newspapers, heard extensive coverage on radio, and seen reports on television.

Also, your facts are slightly skew; Robert Cottage is accused of stockpiling weapons in anticipation of a civil war – no one is accusing him of wanting to spark a civil war.

You have a point, I did underestimate the coverage in the UK, but it is an absolute non issue here in the states. If those guys were Muslims we would still be hearing about it, all the time.

Thank you for the correction on the intent of Robert Cottage.
